What is your correct age?
Are you 65? Are you being referred to as old age? Well, you may not be! A group of researchers from IIASA have researched a new definition for old age (study published today in the journal Population and Development Review by IIASA population researchers Warren Sanderson and Sergei Scherbov) “Your true age is not just the number of years you have lived,” says IIASA researcher Sergei Scherbov. “It also includes characteristics such as health, cognitive function, and disability rates.” So, as long as you are healthy physically and mentally you are 18 with 47 years of experience in life. Enjoy it!
